Meet our Founder
Public Health Educator
Certified Life Coach
Community Health Activist
I am Nina, Owner, and Operator of Amarna & Co LLC (dba) Amarna Nutrition and Wellness. Amarna has been in operation since 2019. I currently live a holistic lifestyle and have been practicing Nutrition & Wellness for five years. My motivation for this business began with improving the lives of my family members. In helping them, I discovered my passion for helping others, and so I set out to expand my services within my community. I graduated from The University of The Incarnate Word in 2018 w/a a major in Nutrition. It was then that I realized I wanted to teach my community and vulnerable populations about the importance of nutrition and wellness in our lives. As a Community Health Education Specialist and Nutritionist I put in countless hours of volunteer work with organizations all over the city of San Antonio all while attending school to complete my 2nd degree. I completed my Public Health Degree at the University of Texas. Public Health opened my eyes to health disparities and many opportunities for change within San Antonio and minority communities.
I currently specialize in helping my clients with;
Transitioning to a Healthy Lifestyle
Setting and achieving short and longterm Goals
Disease Prevention Education
Amarna Nutrition & Wellness is Recognized by the CDC to prevent Type 2 Diabetes. Amarna Also offers Scholarships for individuals within the community who wish to become certified lifestyle coaches. We also provide business resources to individuals who wish to partner/franchise our services in other communities.
A little about me personally,
I love animals so you might find me at the zoo often.
I enjoy local restaurants like Rehoboth Eritrean/Ethiopian,
Biriyani Pot, Moroccan Bites.
I enjoy traveling and exploring cultures. Two of my favorite markets are Jolly International African Market and Alibaba.
I Co-produced a documentary titled " Out of Darkness" now available on Amazon. Out of Darkness is a full-length three-part documentary examining the untold history of African people, the African cultural contribution to the nations of the world, and the events that have contributed to the condition of African people.
It was through the development and promotion of this film that afforded me opportunities amongst celebrities like Stevie Wonder, Afrika Bambaataa and the Zulu Nation, D.L Hughley, Eddie Griffin, RZA of Wu-Tang Klan, Sabir Bey, Taj Tarik Bey, Dj Kool Herc, and Melle Mel.
I am the mother of a ten-year-old ninja(black belt). You may see him in a few of my online postings because he is very much into our holistic lifestyle. We both love science, food, gardening, nature, and reading.
I have two mottos in life;
1. Everything happens for a reason.
It's either a blessing or lesson, learn & be thankful.
